getting back up to speed.

i think it is going to take me a while to get up to the level of writing that i was doing on the old pretentious mind. it is going to be slow going for a while. trying to find my footing, trying to find my voice again. i find even typing a paragraph (the very one you are reading in fact) about not being able to write, difficult to write. but i’m back. i’m going to work on staying back. this wordpress thing is a lot more versatile because i can blog from anywhere. so hopefully i haven’t alienated all of my readers by a) slacking off to the point of killing the blog and b) moving a million times. those of you who followed me. welcome back. hopefully we can keep it together better this time.

catching up.

so since my blog has been obviously neglected for so very, very long i decided to play a little bit of catch up for you all and try to get you up to speed on what has been happening in my life lately.

i have changed jobs. i have a real job now. the job change has left me playing financial catchup but at the same time it is my first real job. i have insurance. i have benefits to buy into. i have opportunity for salary growth. a real job. the apartment is starting to feel like home. like me. i am starting to go out again and feel like myself again.

had a few major milestones with sam, but will really touch on two important ones. one is she had her first x-rays. she was playing and fell strange and hyper-extended her radius (elbow) it popped out of socket. and when they went to do the elbow x-rays it popped back in. she is fine now. but that was the most terrifying and horrible thing i have ever been through as a parent so far. the second was her first movie. we went and saw dreamer. it was predictable and not great but a decent movie. i forgot how much i enjoy watching films in the theatre. it was also a bit slow for sam (a tip, don’t take your two year old to this movie). but nonetheless it was sam’s first movie and she looks forward to many more (she told me after she really liked watching the horsey movie on the big tv)

the french invasion was cancelled (which makes me sad) but the fantomgopher actually came and visited.

loads of other stuff that i have already forgotten. but its been a crazy month or two and i haven’t been blogging enough which means i have missed giving you all of my opinions and thoughts. here’s hoping i can start back up.

moving.

if you are actually reading this it means i have moved the confessions. due to a broswer called flock i was inspired to do this. part of the reason i hadn’t been blogging lately is with the old confessions i was tied to a particular blog client that only ran on my laptop at home. flock has an awesome blog editor built in that allows you to post from anywhere. so i grabbed a free wordpress account and decided to give it a try. so here is that try. i will be slowly adding the old confessions stuff before this post. but this is the first of the new batch. hopefully this is a sign that i will start blogging again.
